Some stories seem to write themselves. Search for the House of Dreams was one of these, the characters and events seeming to come to me out of nowhere as I sat on the old blue bench in the picture.
Writing it down, I hardly knew what would come next for my lead character, Genevre Stratton, as she took on the responsibility of her three younger siblings, willful Barbara, witless Blanche and wild, irresponsible Antony.
Of course there was a lot of re-writing , editing and more rewriting to be done before it reached the printed page, but I hope you will enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it.
